This is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new Dean of Alumni Affairs & International Relations of my alma mater. I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to Prof. M. Chakraborty, the First Dean (AA&IR) for his pioneering efforts towards enhancing alumni-alma mater relationship.
I am an ex-Azadian (1970-75), graduated in 1975 from the Department of Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering and also an ex-JCBian (1975-77), I completed my M.Tech. in 1977 and then I did my Ph.D. in 1982. I got immense pleasure in getting involved with the day-to-day life of students and I enjoyed my tenure as Warden of Azad Hall from 1991 to 1996 and Chairman of HMC from 1996 to 1999. I thank the Director and all my colleagues for giving me this opportunity to serve the IITians past and present.
